The Department of Architecture and Planning Engineering (DTAP), Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada, held a Syawalan 1447 H gathering on Monday, March 30, 2026. The event commenced at 10:30 AM (WIB) at Pendopo Tedjo Suminto, DTAP FT UGM, serving as an important occasion to strengthen ties among the entire DTAP community.

The Syawalan was attended by various members of the DTAP academic community, ranging from department leadership to retired members and their families. Attendees included the Head and Secretary of the Department, Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs, active and retired academic staff, active and retired administrative staff, teaching assistants, as well as the extended DTAP family. This cross-generational presence reflects the strong sense of belonging and enduring familial bonds within DTAP.

As part of the Eid al-Fitr tradition, the Syawalan carries profound meaning as a moment to seek forgiveness and reinforce togetherness after the month of Ramadan. On this occasion, a religious talk was delivered by Ust. Prof. drh. Agung Budiyanto, M.P., Ph.D., who encouraged all attendees to embrace the spirit of Syawal as an opportunity for self-improvement and to strengthen the values of togetherness in daily life, including within academic and professional environments.

Beyond being a routine gathering, the DTAP Syawalan also reflects a commitment to the values of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being through efforts to foster the mental and social well-being of department members, as well as SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by promoting harmonious and inclusive relationships within the institution. In addition, the spirit of cross-generational togetherness aligns with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and solidarity in achieving shared objectives.

The event was marked by a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout and concluded with a communal lunch. This moment not only served as an opportunity for reconnecting but also strengthened the spirit of togetherness and collaboration within the Department of Architecture and Planning Engineering FT UGM in supporting sustainable values.
