A presentation on the Cosmological Axis of Yogyakarta delivered by Dr. Eng. Ir. Laretna Trisnantari Adhisakti, M.Arch., or Bu Sita, before researchers of the Taiwan Heritage Society on 29 October 2025 introduced a fresh perspective to the global discourse on heritage city management. Representing the UGM–UNESCO Chair, she not only explained Yogyakarta’s achievement as a UNESCO World Heritage Site but also demonstrated how traditional spatial philosophy can inspire modern approaches to sustainability. read more

Final Studio Examination of MPWK UGM Showcases Outstanding Planning Concepts from Various Regions

Yogyakarta, June 19, 2025 — The Master’s Program in Urban and Regional Planning (MPWK), Universitas Gadjah Mada, held its Final Studio Examination (UAS) as the culmination of this semester’s practice-based academic activities. This event served as an important moment for students to present their findings, analyses, and proposed flagship planning programs for each study area, which had been previously examined through field data collection.
