Monday, August 25, 2025, marked the Inauguration of the Architect Profession for the August 2025 Period. The ceremony was held at Pendapa Tedjo Suminto and attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada, faculty members of the Architecture Program, invited guests including representatives from IAI and external architectural partners, and, of course, the main highlight of the event: the students being inaugurated.

The event began with the singing of Indonesia Raya and the Hymn of Gadjah Mada, followed by opening remarks from the Dean of FT UGM, Prof. Ir. Selo, S.T., M.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., and a speech by the Chairman of IAI, Ar. Georgius Budi Yulianto, S.T., M.T., IAI, AA. The ceremony then continued with the signing of a cooperation charter by the Dean of FT UGM, Prof. Ir. Selo, S.T., M.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., representing DTAP UGM, alongside Ar. Yogyakarta, June 19, 2025 — The Master’s Program in Urban and Regional Planning (MPWK), Universitas Gadjah Mada, held its Final Studio Examination (UAS) as the culmination of this semester’s practice-based academic activities. Dr. Ir. Arif Kusumawanto, M.T., IPU., a lecturer from the Department of Architecture and Planning Engineering at Universitas Gadjah Mada and a member of the Technology Research Group, has published a scientific paper titled “Enhanced Mechanical Properties of the Additively Manufactured Modified Hybrid Stereolithography (SLA)–Glass Powder.” This Scopus-indexed research successfully enhances the mechanical properties of ready-to-use resin products fabricated through additive manufacturing using stereolithography (SLA) reinforced with glass powder. read more

Archilecture Series was held again by the Department of Architectural Engineering and Planning on Friday (27/5). The Archilecture Series this time is one of the pre-events of The 6th Biennale ICIAP 2022 which will be held at the end of the year.

The event is open to the public and conducted online via Zoom with the topic “Adaptive Landscape, Resilient City”. The main speaker at this event was Dissa Pidanti Raras, who is the Urban Designer & Landscape Designer of Ramboll Studio Dreiseitl. After receiving a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Architecture, Gadjah Mada University, Dissa continued her education at the Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design program at GSAPP, Columbia University.
