On Thursday, August 13, 2026, the Department of Architecture and Planning (DTAP) held an Info Day attended by first-year undergraduate students from the Architecture and Urban and Regional Planning (PWK) study programs, Class of 2026. The event took place in Room K1 on the second floor of DTAP, with the department session lasting approximately one hour. More than 150 students from both study programs participated in the event.
The event began with a brief introduction to DTAP, including its history and the study programs within the department. This was followed by an introduction to the lecturers and administrative staff who play an important role in supporting teaching and learning activities on campus. Each lecturer and staff member was called by name and took turns greeting the students with a wave.
The session continued with an introduction to the various student organizations at the department, annual activities, and facilities available at DTAP. The information was presented by the Head of the Department, Dr.Eng. Ar. Alexander Rani Suryandono, ST., M.Arch., IAI., assisted by Rina Yosefiana, S.Sos., Coordinator of Human Resources.
The event was intended to help new students become more familiar with the campus where they will pursue their studies. It was also expected to foster a sense of belonging among students, beginning with getting to know their academic environment. Following the one-hour department session, the students proceeded to the Info Day sessions held by their respective study programs. The Architecture Study Program continued its session in Room K4, while the Urban and Regional Planning Study Program continued in Room K1.
The Info Day is aligned with efforts to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education. By introducing students to the academic environment, teaching and administrative staff, student organizations, and campus facilities, the event provides new students with information and understanding that support their adaptation to university life. It also contributes to creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment that encourages students’ development from the beginning of their studies. Thus, the Info Day serves not only as an institutional orientation but also as an initial step toward fostering a quality educational experience for students.
