UGM Architecture study programme received another study visit on Thursday (26/1). This time, the field study came from Universitas Halu Uleo (UHO), Kendari. The visit with the theme “Green Smart Building & Culture” also aims to study the new building of the Faculty of Engineering, the SGLC building. The group of UHO students and lecturers were then received by Dr. Ahmad Nasikun, S.T., M.Sc. as the Manager of Student Affairs of the Faculty of Engineering and Nur Zahrotunnisaa Zagi, S.T., M.T. as a representative of Architecture.

On Wednesday (18/1) the UGM Architecture Study Program received a visit from the Architecture Study Program at Makassar State University (UNM). The study visit was received directly by Dr. Eng. Nedyomukti Imam Syafii, S.T., M.Sc., as secretary of the Architecture program.
UNM Architecture students, accompanied by two of their lecturers, have been present in the K1 DTAP room since 09.00. The event begins with a description of the program, the latest activities, and the achievements and accreditations that have been achieved. Then, the event continued with a question-and-answer session. Several UNM students and lecturers seemed enthusiastic about submitting various questions about UGM architecture. Approaching 11.30, the event session in room K1 will soon end. The event ended with the submission of a plaque from UNM Architecture to UGM Architecture.
Archilecture Series was held again by the Department of Architectural Engineering and Planning on Friday (27/5). The Archilecture Series this time is one of the pre-events of The 6th Biennale ICIAP 2022 which will be held at the end of the year.
The event is open to the public and conducted online via Zoom with the topic “Adaptive Landscape, Resilient City”. The main speaker at this event was Dissa Pidanti Raras, who is the Urban Designer & Landscape Designer of Ramboll Studio Dreiseitl. After receiving a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Architecture, Gadjah Mada University, Dissa continued her education at the Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design program at GSAPP, Columbia University. In addition, Dissa also has experience working on various landscaping, planning, and research projects in Jakarta, Singapore, New York, to Switzerland.
Saturday, October 30, 2021, a training (workshop) was conducted for a number of education staff (tendik) of the Department of Architecture and Planning, FT UGM. This training was held in a mixed manner, both online using a zoom platform and offline, located at the TGA DTAP studio, Faculty of Engineering, UGM while still obedient to health protocols. This training focuses on topics related to Cloud Computing-based Data Management.
This training activity was attended by representatives from the Department of Architectural Engineering and Planning, including Mrs. Syam Rachma M, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., (Secretary of the Department) and Mrs. Nur Zahrotunnisaa Zagi, S.T., M.T. (Head of Quality Assurance Unit, Human Resources and Assets) was then attended by Mrs. Rina Yosefiana, S.Sos (Coordinator for Financial Affairs, Assets, General Affairs and SHE) and Mr. Faesal S.Psi. (Coordinator for Education and Student Affairs). The instructor for this training event were Mr. I Wayan Ordiyasa, S.Kom., M.T. along with his team from the Informatics study program from the University of Respati Yogyakarta.
The International Conference on Indonesian Architecture and Planning (ICIAP) is an international conference which is held every 2 years by the Department of Architecture and Planning, Faculty of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University. This conference aims to bring together academics, researchers and practitioners from all over the world to share knowledge and experiences in the world of architecture and planning in Indonesia. Until this year, ICIAP has been held five (5) times.
This year, the 5th ICIAP was held for two days, on 15-16 October 2020 with the theme “Complexity: Design, Planning, and Innovation”, with specific topics; (1) Architectural Design; (2) Building Technology; (3) Settlement, Housing, and Neighborhood Design and Planning; (4) Urban Design and Planning; and (5) Regional and Rural Planning. Academics, researchers, and practitioners from all over the world can participate in collecting papers related to these themes and specific topics which will be presented by each author online through a platform called HOPIN due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
