An emotional atmosphere filled the Tedjo Suminto Hall, Department of Architecture and Planning (DTAP), Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. A total of 13 students from the Regional and City Planning (PWK) Study Program and 14 students from the Architecture Study Program were officially released as graduating students who would take part in the official graduation ceremony the following day, November 26, 2025. The two-hour event, which began at 1:00 PM, was attended by the students along with their parents and families as a form of support for their academic achievements.
The main agenda of the event was the handover of the Graduation Certificate (Surat Keterangan Lulus/SKL) by the department. This moment symbolized the official end of the students’ academic journey and the beginning of a new phase as university graduates. In addition, the event became an opportunity to reflect on the long learning process they had gone through, both inside and outside the classroom, including their involvement in research, fieldwork, and community service activities.
In terms of academic achievement, the graduates demonstrated commendable results. In both study programs, graduates received the distinction of Very Satisfactory and Cum Laude. Through this graduation release event, it is hoped that the Architecture and PWK graduates will be able to apply the knowledge they have gained for the benefit of the environment and society. They are expected to become not only competent professionals, but also individuals who are sensitive to social, environmental, and sustainability issues. With the academic foundation and values instilled during their studies, the graduates are expected to make a real contribution to creating living spaces that are more inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
