At the beginning of 2023, DTAP students made another achievement through the Asia Young Designer Awards (AYDA) Indonesia Awards. The achievement was made by Salsabila Novitasari, a 2019 Bachelor of Architecture student. Salsabila with her work entitled “Re-Stack!” has won the Gold Winner in the Architecture category. In addition to Salsabila, Yoga Adhi Susila (2018) won the Silver Winner title through his work entitled “Sacred Garden”. Setia Aji Wardana (2019) and Ardana Dayu Suryono (2019) also received Honorary Mention awards at the annual event.

Archilecture Series was held again by the Department of Architectural Engineering and Planning on Friday (27/5). The Archilecture Series this time is one of the pre-events of The 6th Biennale ICIAP 2022 which will be held at the end of the year.
The event is open to the public and conducted online via Zoom with the topic “Adaptive Landscape, Resilient City”. The main speaker at this event was Dissa Pidanti Raras, who is the Urban Designer & Landscape Designer of Ramboll Studio Dreiseitl. After receiving a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Architecture, Gadjah Mada University, Dissa continued her education at the Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design program at GSAPP, Columbia University. In addition, Dissa also has experience working on various landscaping, planning, and research projects in Jakarta, Singapore, New York, to Switzerland.
The International Conference on Indonesian Architecture and Planning (ICIAP) is an international conference which is held every 2 years by the Department of Architecture and Planning, Faculty of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University. This conference aims to bring together academics, researchers and practitioners from all over the world to share knowledge and experiences in the world of architecture and planning in Indonesia. Until this year, ICIAP has been held five (5) times.
This year, the 5th ICIAP was held for two days, on 15-16 October 2020 with the theme “Complexity: Design, Planning, and Innovation”, with specific topics; (1) Architectural Design; (2) Building Technology; (3) Settlement, Housing, and Neighborhood Design and Planning; (4) Urban Design and Planning; and (5) Regional and Rural Planning. Academics, researchers, and practitioners from all over the world can participate in collecting papers related to these themes and specific topics which will be presented by each author online through a platform called HOPIN due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
