The Community Service Team – Building Technology Research Group, Architecture Study Program of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta, in collaboration with the Gedongkiwo Tourism Awareness Group (Kelompok Sadar Wisata/Pokdarwis), conducted a Tourism Planning Program for Gedongkiwo Urban Village, Mantrijeron District, Yogyakarta City in 2025. On Tuesday (27/8), the Department of Architecture and Planning held the Inauguration of Professional Architect Education (PPAr) Students. The inauguration ceremony started at 09.00 in the innercourt of DTAP, PPAr students were accompanied by their parents/guardians. The event was also attended by DTAP lecturers and IAI representatives, namely Ar. Georgius Budi Yulianto, IAI, AA (Chairman of IAI) and Ar. Baritoadi Buldan Rayaganda Rito, ST., MA., IAI. (Chairman of IAI DIY)

The event began with a prayer and remarks from the DTAP representative. Entering the main event, namely the reading of the Minutes of Judicium by Dr.Eng. Alexander Rani Suryandono, S.T., M.Arch, IAI. (Head of PPAr Study Program) and the submission of Professional Certificate by Prof. Dr. Ir. Sugeng Sapto Surjono, S.T., M.T., IPU, ASEAN Eng. (Vice Dean of F. Engineering). The submission of the Certificate symbolically became evidence of the inauguration of PPAr students as Architects. Of the 14 PPAr students who have been inaugurated, a student by the name of Keloka Sasikirana became a graduate with the highest GPA of 3.85. The inauguration ceremony was then closed by Ar. The Department of Architecture and Planning held a graduation ceremony for the Architecture and Planning Undergraduate Program on Tuesday (27/8). Since 13.00 the graduates accompanied by parents / guardians began to arrive at the DTAP innercourt where the event was held. In this period of graduation, there were 44 students of Architecture program and 45 students of Urban and Regional Planning program. The event officially began with prayer and singing the Indonesia Raya song and the hymn of Universitas Gadjah Mada. Then continued with remarks by Ratna Eka Suminar, S.T., M.Sc. On Wednesday (23/8), the Department of Architecture and Planning held another graduation ceremony. A total of 51 students of the Architecture Bachelor program and 45 students of the Urban and Regional Planning Bachelor program participated in the release in the August 2023 period this time.

Since 13.00 WIB, the graduates accompanied by their parents and guardians were seen attending the Innercourt DTAP area where the Release event was held. The event began at 13.30 WIB with the singing of Indonesia Raya and Gadjah Mada Hymn. Then, the opening remarks were given by Ir. The Department of Architecture and Planning held another graduation ceremony on Tuesday (23/5). There were 2 students from the Architecture undergraduate programme and 14 students from the Urban and Regional Planning undergraduate programme at the graduation ceremony this May.

Since 12.00, the graduates accompanied by their parents or guardians seemed to start arriving at room K1 where the release ceremony was held. The event was then opened by singing the Indonesia Raya song and delivering remarks from Jimly Al Faraby, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. The graduation ceremony was also attended by all levels of management, lecturers, and staff in the Department of Architecture and Planning. read more

At the beginning of 2023, DTAP students made another achievement through the Asia Young Designer Awards (AYDA) Indonesia Awards. The achievement was made by Salsabila Novitasari, a 2019 Bachelor of Architecture student. Salsabila with her work entitled “Re-Stack!” has won the Gold Winner in the Architecture category. In addition to Salsabila, Yoga Adhi Susila (2018) won the Silver Winner title through his work entitled “Sacred Garden”. Setia Aji Wardana (2019) and Ardana Dayu Suryono (2019) also received Honorary Mention awards at the annual event. read more

The release of the Graduates of the Bachelor program was again held on Thursday (25/8) by the Department of Architectural Engineering and Planning. The release event this time felt more special because it was held offline and outdoors in the DTAP Innercourt area. There are as many as 69 students of the Bachelor of Architecture program and 21 students of the Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning program at the release of the August period this time.

Not only the graduates, but their parents/guardians also attended the graduation ceremony at the DTAP Innercourt. The entire management, lecturers, and staff of the Department and Study Program also participated in the Graduation Release. After the prayer together, remarks from Ir.
