On Friday, 26 September 2025, the Architecture Study Program at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) successfully held an event entitled “MateREALity: AutoConz 3D Construction Printing” as part of the MateREALity 2025/2026 series. The activity was shared via Instagram and featured on the official @architecture.ugm account.

The session focused on the introduction and exploration of 3D construction printing technology as an innovation in the construction industry. The event was organized in collaboration with DEKKSON, which introduced AutoConz technology as one of the breakthroughs in future construction methods. read more

Saturday, 27 September 2025 – Students of the Master of Urban Design Program, Cohort 6, conducted a field study in Tambaklorok, Semarang. Tambaklorok is the largest fishing settlement in Semarang and is directly adjacent to the Java Sea. This activity was part of the course Disaster-Resilient Area Design, under the supervision of Dr. Ardhya Nareswari and Dr. Atrida Hadianti.

Through this case study, students were expected to develop design proposals for a disaster-resilient area while continuing to accommodate and support the daily activities of the local community. read more

Material is an essential element that cannot be separated from architectural design. To deepen their understanding of materials, undergraduate students of the Architecture Study Program, Department of Architecture and Planning (DTAP), Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada regularly attend the MateREALity or Architectural Materiality class, which features guest speakers from architectural practices and building material industries. In the previous Professional Studio II, PPAr students of academic year 2024/2025 have finished their studio projects and submitted their works for C40: Reinventing Cities (Students) international competition. The design process, enriched by direct guidance and several reviews by external architects have resulted in an achievement worth to be celebrated. The PPAr students have managed to gain the title of both second champion and third champion at C40: Reinventing Cities under the category of Marconi District Student Housing. read more

The hybrid conference brought together academics, practitioners, and students from both domestic and international institutions. An emotional atmosphere filled the Tedjo Suminto Hall, Department of Architecture and Planning (DTAP), Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. A total of 13 students from the Regional and City Planning (PWK) Study Program and 14 students from the Architecture Study Program were officially released as graduating students who would take part in the official graduation ceremony the following day, November 26, 2025. The two-hour event, which began at 1:00 PM, was attended by the students along with their parents and families as a form of support for their academic achievements. read more

Prof. Bakti Setiawan, often known as Pak Bobi, was one of the speakers at the workshop “Protection of Cultural Heritage in the Implementation of Sustainable Infrastructure Development Projects in Indonesia” organized by P.T. Sarana Multi Infrastruktur. The event took place at Hotel Plataran Borobudur, Magelang, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. It was attended by various stakeholders involved in heritage preservation and infrastructure development. On this occasion, Pak Adi was invited as the main speaker, delivering a presentation titled “DESIGNING WELLNESS: Exploring Health Space in Architecture and Interior Design.”

In his session, Pak Adi guided participants to understand the fundamentals of hospital design, including the design process, master planning, zoning, and spatial concepts for various healthcare facilities. He emphasized that a hospital is not merely a functional building but also a space that must provide comfort, safety, and a healing experience for patients, medical staff, and visitors alike. read more
